We have a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant to work in our Finance Department. This is a developmental opportunity where the business would potentially fund the AAT qualification up to level 4.

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for all purchase ledger functions for UK and Republic of Ireland entities. Full training will be given but the key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Register incoming purchase ledger invoices and sending them to relevant departments
  • Receipting purchase ledger invoices against purchase orders once approved by departments
  • Processing purchase invoices once PO has been receipted
  • Processing credit card and employee expenses
  • Making weekly payments to suppliers (BACS and FP)
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Resolving any queries with supplier invoices
  • Entry and payment of purchase ledger invoices
  • Responsible for sale ledger customer data for UK, China and Republic of Ireland entities including setup of new customer accounts and amendments to customer accounts
