This is a hands-on position suited to a qualified individual with at least 3 years experience in a similar role, within an accountancy practice environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using Xero and Dext
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders and limited companies
- Preparing and filing Income Tax and Corporation Tax returns
- Processing payroll and pension submissions
- Liaising with clients, HMRC and other statutory bodies
- Supporting senior team members with bespoke client assignments
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential Criteria
- ATI/ATT or ICB qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping/accounts preparation in a practice environment
- Proficient in the use of Xero & Dext
- Experience in preparing end-of-year accounts
- Experience preparing tax returns for sole traders and limited companies
