This is a hands-on position suited to a qualified individual with at least 3 years experience in a similar role, within an accountancy practice environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using Xero and Dext
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders and limited companies
  • Preparing and filing Income Tax and Corporation Tax returns
  • Processing payroll and pension submissions
  • Liaising with clients, HMRC and other statutory bodies
  • Supporting senior team members with bespoke client assignments

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria

  • ATI/ATT or ICB qualification
  • Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping/accounts preparation in a practice environment
  • Proficient in the use of Xero & Dext
  • Experience in preparing end-of-year accounts
  • Experience preparing tax returns for sole traders and limited companies
