The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

Manage contract administration for a design and build underground infrastructure project. Overall responsible and in-charge of the Contract Department of the project. Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors (QS) to ensure all contractual and financial objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle. Review and analyze contract terms, conditions and other relevant documents to identify risks and opportunities. Negotiate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to secure favorable contract terms. Identify, notify, and prepare variation orders (VOs), claims for Extension of Time (EOT), and loss and expense claims. Oversee the procurement process, including drafting Letters of Award, reviewing payment responses and negotiating final accounts with subcontractors and suppliers. Conduct comprehensive risk analyses to identify potential legal, financial, or operational risks and provide strategic advice to project management. Handle all formal contractual correspondence and attend meetings. Manage the finalization of the main contract and all subcontracts, ensuring timely closure and settlement of agreements. Drive value engineering proposals and implementation. Initiate the appropriate corrective/preventive action to ensure that the company’s objectives are met.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in large-scale civil infrastructure projects, preferably design and build.
  • At least 5 years of specific experience in LTA MRT projects, as main contractor’s representative.
  • In-depth understanding of LTA MRT Contract and Singapore’s Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, dispute resolution and leadership skills.
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail.
