About us
Traditional banking has never really given you control over your financial life. Satispay exists to change that: to empower people through finance. That means making financial services easy and accessible for over 6.5M users. We started with payments, then benefits, investing, cards... and we’re not done. Not even close. We follow the same logic every time: find a real problem, solve it properly, then look for the next one. The destination? To build the most loved financial platform in the world. If you own outcomes rather than tasks, stay close to what users need, and refuse to wait for someone else to fix what's broken — you'll find people here who work exactly in the same way. And together, you'll build something worth being proud of.
What you'll be doing
- As our FinCrime AML/CTF Manager, you'll lead, grow, and manage our 1st line AML/CTF operations team, translating compliance policies into smooth, actionable risk management processes across the entire customer lifecycle.
- Customer Risk Management - Owning and maintaining the Customer Risk Assessment Frameworks, ensuring risk scoring and categorisation accurately reflect financial crime realities.
- Lifecycle & Periodic Reviews - Leading periodic and event-driven reviews across the customer portfolio to dynamically reassess customer risk categorisations.
- Oversight of Due Diligence Activities - Overseeing onboarding and ongoing monitoring activities executed by KYC and KYB teams, aligning internal controls with regulatory expectations.
- Product Requirements & UX Optimisation - Partnering closely with Product teams to define actionable onboarding requirements that balance regulatory compliance with a frictionless user experience.
- Surveillance & Detection Management - Overseeing end-to-end transaction monitoring for all AML/CTF typologies, including timely assessments, escalations, and scenario calibrations.
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management - Mentoring and scaling a team of AML/CTF analysts, driving operational excellence, and regularly reporting risk metrics to senior management.
- Compliance Translation - Acting as the primary liaison to the 2nd Line Compliance team, proactively translating regulatory updates into scalable operational workflows.
- Reporting to the FIU - Serving as the final 1st line approver for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
- Audit & Regulatory Liaison - Preparing operational documentation and data for internal audits, external regulatory reviews, and inquiries from competent authorities.
Who we're looking for
- This role needs someone equipped with strong leadership, deep regulatory mastery, and an operational mindset to protect our ecosystem against financial crime.
- Experience - 6+ years in AML/CTF operations within Fintech, digital banking, or payment processing environments, with 2+ years of experience leading and managing dedicated teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge - Profound understanding of EU AML Directives and FATF recommendations, with strong knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory requirements (knowledge of Italian regulations is a plus).
- Certifications - Professional certification such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent is highly expected.
- Operational Framework Mastery - Proven track record managing transaction monitoring systems, reviewing/approving SARs/STRs, and designing practical customer risk-rating frameworks.
- Stakeholder & Communication Skills - Exceptional ability to negotiate, collaborate across functions, and liaise seamlessly with 2nd line compliance teams.
- Data-Driven Leadership - Strong analytical mindset capable of leveraging KPIs and data tools (such as HEX, SQL, or Splunk) to optimize operational queues and assess resource needs.
- Change Management Mindset - Agility to lead teams through hyper-growth, shifting regulations, and tech upgrades while maintaining high morale and performance.
Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We believe in the power of different viewpoints and strengths. Your unique perspective is important as we build something special: if you're passionate and can make a difference, we truly encourage you to apply.
