Satis Education are recruiting! Are you an experienced leader in SEND provision, looking for a rewarding challenge in a supportive environment? We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Interim Headteacher to join our AP school in West Yorkshire. This temporary position is to commence ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis, offering a fantastic opportunity to lead a dynamic and caring team in a school committed to providing exceptional education and care for children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership across the school, ensuring high standards of education, care, and support for all pupils with SEND.
  • Manage and support a dedicated team of staff, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Ensure the continued implementation and development of the school’s SEND provision, tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Work closely with parents, external agencies, and local authorities to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Oversee the curriculum and ensure it meets the diverse needs of the school’s student population.
  • Lead on staff development and ensure staff are well-equipped to support the learning and well-being of SEND students.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an AP setting.
  • A comprehensive understanding of SEND legislation, strategies, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and improving outcomes for SEND pupils.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and/or relevant leadership qualifications.
