The Learning Partnership Trust (TLP) are looking to recruit new Trustees to help steer the Trust through the next exciting stage in its journey. We are a multi-academy trust with fifteen schools across Cheshire and Staffordshire. Our family of schools consists of nine Primary Schools, four Secondary Schools, a Studio School and a University Technical College. We provide education to over 7000 students and young people aged between 2-18 years old and employ over 900 staff.
The trust believes in allowing each school to retain its distinctive and successful ethos whilst also being able to support the ambition of individual schools, help children to reach their potential and benefit from the greater resources that partnership within the trust brings. The communities that our schools serve are socially diverse and unique to each school and each school makes an important contribution to its local community.
The mission and vision of the Learning Partnership is to transform communities through education, delivering teaching and learning which fully equips all our young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to become positive, engaged, successful members of society. The Trust believes in aspiration, ambition and accountability, seeking to overcome barriers and never accepting mediocrity. We are committed to a culture where everybody belongs. Our intent is to ensure every child who comes through the door has an amazing experience and leaves us with the skills, knowledge and resourcefulness to embark on the next stage in their learning journey.
The Trust is currently in an exciting period, and we are seeking additional Trustees who:
- want to make a difference
- can offer a strategic outlook
- have the ability to analyse complex information
- will offer challenge and support to CEO and Board via a bold, courageous and resilient mindset
- are committed to equality and diversity at all levels within the Trust
We are particularly interested in Trustees who can offer experience with finance, legal and audit specialisms. However, commitment and passion to improving the educational prospects of the communities that we serve is the key requisite. The Board would particularly welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds to bring a wide range of perspectives and experiences to our board.
Trustees are expected to attend four Boards meetings per year in person and will be appointed to at least one committee dependent upon their skills. Committees meet three times per year, and can be held in person, online or in hybrid mode. Including preparation and attendance, the commitment equates to around 5-8 days per year.
If you have the requisite experience for the role, and share our values of people, passion, performance, and have an appetite to help us transform communities through education then we would love to hear from you.
To find out more and register your interest for the role, please contact Satis Education via admin@satiseducation.co.uk.
The Learning Partnership Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. An enhanced disclosure from the DBS will be required for all roles. All candidates will also be subject to an online search for information about you as part of our due diligence and commitment to safeguarding.
