Network Engineer - Insurance

Network Engineer Insurance London (Hybrid, 2–3 Days In-Office) £65,000 – £80,000 per annum

An established insurance firm based in London is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join its growing technology team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to manage and support a global enterprise network, with exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure and SAN storage technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
• Administer Fortinet firewalls, managed switches, and NAC integrations
• Design and support BGP and OSPF routing protocols across multi-site environments
• Manage and maintain NetApp SAN infrastructure, including provisioning and performance optimization
• Monitor network performance using SNMP, NetFlow, and other tools
• Support cloud integration and hybrid networking projects
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with compliance audits

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in an enterprise network engineering role
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Fortinet, and NetApp technologies
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and VPNs
• Certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP preferred
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud networking platforms
