The firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our expanding Actions Against the Police team (RETRAIN). Full training will be provided for candidates with no experience in this area. An attractive package up to £70,000 p.a. is on offer for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Running a caseload from inception to conclusion, including investigations, obtaining expert evidence, drafting Letters of Claim, settlement negotiations, drafting pleadings and litigating as appropriate;
- Vetting and risk assessing new cases coming into the department;
- Working to deadlines;
- Providing a high level of client service.
Experience Requirements
- Experience running Actions Against the Police caseload is required but not essential as full training will be provided;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience running a litigated caseload is essential;
- Experience with Proclaim is preferred however full training can be provided.
