Overview

Satāya is representing a global fintech and payments business with a presence across the UK, Canada and African markets. The company operates a single platform that enables individuals and businesses to access financial, payment and commerce solutions across borders. It is an ambitious, growth-focused business with a clear international vision and a product set that spans both B2C and B2B audiences.

The Head of Marketing will take ownership of the entire marketing function, sitting directly beneath the CEO and working closely with product, sales, partnerships and engineering. This is both a strategic and an executional role. The business needs someone who can define where the brand is going and then drive the work that gets it there, across multiple markets and audience segments simultaneously. The right candidate will understand how to build a global brand with genuine commercial rigour. They will be comfortable translating complex financial and technology products into clear, credible narratives, and will have the experience and confidence to lead a team, manage external partners and hold the function accountable to measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a unified global marketing strategy aligned with the business’s growth objectives across the UK, Canada and African markets.
  • Own global market positioning, messaging frameworks and go-to-market strategies across products and regions, ensuring alignment with revenue, acquisition and retention goals.
  • Own global brand strategy, storytelling and communications, maintaining a consistent and trusted brand identity across all markets.
  • Manage PR, campaigns and external agency relationships to ensure the brand is well represented across all channels and geographies.
  • Conduct market, customer and competitor research to generate insights that inform marketing strategy, product direction and GTM decisions across diverse regulatory and cultural environments.
  • Drive growth and performance marketing across digital and offline channels, overseeing full-funnel campaign planning, execution, optimisation and experimentation.
  • Lead end-to-end product marketing and GTM execution, including segmentation, positioning and integrated campaigns across B2C and B2B segments globally.
  • Improve conversion and efficiency across the funnel through a structured, data-led approach to testing and optimisation.
  • Support sales enablement efforts through close alignment with the sales and partnerships teams.
  • Lead and develop the marketing team, building a culture of creativity, accountability and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage external partners and agencies, ensuring quality, consistency and value across all engagements.
  • Build and scale a high-performing marketing function across brand, growth and product marketing as the business grows.
  • Partner closely with product, sales, engineering and partnerships to align marketing initiatives with broader business objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 7 to 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven background in fintech, payments, financial services or a high-growth technology environment.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling marketing strategies across multiple global markets, with direct experience in the UK and Canada.
  • Experience or meaningful exposure to African markets, including an understanding of consumer behaviour, payment preferences or the regulatory landscape.
  • A strong track record across both brand and performance marketing, with the ability to build a global brand while driving measurable commercial growth.
  • Experience leading cross-functional global marketing initiatives and managing teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable operating with the discipline of a large brand environment and the pace and flexibility of a high-growth scale-up.
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing environments is an advantage, as is prior success launching or repositioning a brand within the fintech ecosystem.

Why Our Client

  • A senior leadership role with direct access to the CEO and genuine influence over the strategic direction of the marketing function and the brand.
  • A genuinely global remit spanning the UK, Canada and African markets, with the scope to shape how the business is positioned and perceived across all of them.
  • An ambitious, growth-oriented business at an interesting stage, with a clear product vision and the commercial momentum to back it up.
  • The opportunity to build and lead a marketing function rather than inherit a fixed structure, with real latitude to shape how the team and the discipline evolve.
  • A collaborative leadership team that values marketing as a commercial driver and understands the role it plays in growth, retention and market expansion.
