We are conducting a confidential search for a Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a high‑specification luxury development in London. This critical role requires a strong technical understanding, particularly of M&E systems, and the ability to maintain exceptional standards within a design‑led, detail‑sensitive luxury environment.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day delivery on site, driving the programme, ensuring compliance, and maintaining clear technical communication across all disciplines. We are seeking a calm, proactive individual who deeply understands buildability, risk, sequencing, and the unique complexities of hospitality environments.
Key Responsibilities- Technical & M&E Coordination
- Oversee M&E: Coordinate all mechanical, electrical, and public health installations.
- Design Alignment: Review design intent and ensure alignment across architectural, structural, and M&E packages.
- Site Management: Manage daily construction to ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality delivery.
- Interface Lead: Act as the primary interface between subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Reporting: Conduct site inspections, report progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Programme Alignment: Ensure all works align with RIBA Stages 5 to 7.
- Safety & CDM: Uphold CDM 2015 responsibilities and ensure all site operations meet regulatory requirements.
- Documentation: Ensure safe systems of work, method statements, and risk assessments are in place and followed.
Commercial or hospitality experience, ideally with exposure to M&E‑heavy projects (hotels, spas, resorts, high‑end fit‑outs). Solid understanding of construction methodologies, programme, sequencing, and buildability. Proven track record coordinating M&E subcontractors and managing multi‑disciplinary site teams. Up‑to‑date knowledge of CDM 2015, building regulations, and fire strategy processes. Proficient with Excel/Microsoft Office; familiar with construction programmes, AutoCAD, Revit, and Google Workspace. Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, calm problem‑solving ability, and a commitment to quality.
