THE ROLE

The Cloud Platform Engineers deliver infrastructure solutions as part of an experienced cross-disciplinary team. We have a developer mindset and deliver our infrastructure through code, holding ourselves to the same quality and code standards as the rest of the team.

We need you to use your hands-on experience to drive the design, development and deployment of Satalia’s Logistics and Delivery products.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with our solution architects to identify the best technologies and process for our clients
  • Act as a technical authority to engage and steer discussions on best practice and risk mitigation
  • Ensure security considerations are implemented, tested and maintained.
  • Build in Observability

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Building infrastructure and deploying code in one of the main Clouds (preferably AWS, Bitbucket Pipelines, Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, K6)
  • Implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging and tracing tools (Grafana or similar)
  • Communicating and explaining technical concepts at appropriate levels for your team and to clients
  • Understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of:
    • Infrastructure and Configuration as Code
    • Safe Deployment strategies and CI/CD
    • Cloud-based and Cloud-native system design
    • Observability
    • Developer Experience
    • DevOps and SRE
    • InfoSec and SIEM

We’re interested in talking to people who have worked with different technologies. We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate skills from this list, and who have curiosity and want to learn more:

  • Practical experience with AWS BitBucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions Workflows or Azure Devops Pipelines, Repos and Artifacts
  • Experience with Kubernetes, and familiarity with differing Cloud implementations
  • Experience deploying and operating observability stacks in production environments, including integration with Kubernetes workloads and cloud-native services.
  • Hands-on with Terraform – familiarity with Terragrunt, Terratest
  • Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments
  • Management of Automation Tooling – Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI
  • Experience with automated testing tools - Selenium, JMeter, Lighthouse
  • Strong scripting skills - Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl
