Job Description:
A great opportunity has been raised within Satair UK (an Airbus Service Company) to develop yourself and your career.
The vacancy is for a Battery Workshop Technician working at the Satair UK facility near London Heathrow airport. The workshop operates on a shift pattern Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Early shift 6am-2pm and late shift 12am -8pm.
The successful applicant will join the maintenance team. Satair UK maintain batteries from all aviation sectors, passenger, cargo, corporate jet, military and helicopters. All battery technologies are also covered: NiCd, Lead acid, lithium.
Technical responsibilities:
- Maintain batteries in strict accordance with the relative OMM/CMM and standard working procedures
- Complete and maintain clear neat workshop records
- Work as part of a team
- Complete shift responsibilities
- Identify issues arising from maintenance regime and provide solutions for issue resolution
- Completion of shift handover
- Carry out AOG roster duties
- Scrap batteries and prepare for recycling as required
- Resolve warranty claims
- Release EASA/CAA form 1 certificate
- Assist quality manager in the completion of internal and external audits
- Carry out other duties as director by manager or shift supervisor
- Keep working areas neat and tidy
Skills
- BTEC diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or electromechanical)
- Experience in working on Aircraft component maintenance ATA C3 C6 C8
