The Role
This is a practical, hands-on position for someone who can manage our existing operational systems while identifying and implementing improvements.
You will connect customer, booking, payment and operational systems using APIs and other integrations. The objective is to improve the flow of information, reduce manual administration and create a better experience for customers, engineers and office staff.
We need someone who understands how technology supports business operations and can turn operational requirements into reliable, secure and user-friendly systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the company’s internal operational systems.
- Develop and improve databases, forms, interfaces and automated workflows.
- Build, maintain and document API connections between internal and third-party systems.
- Integrate booking, payment, customer, scheduling, stock and reporting processes.
- Work with REST APIs, webhooks and structured data formats.
- Monitor integrations and investigate failed or incomplete data transfers.
- Review API documentation and assess the suitability of potential integrations.
- Manage API credentials securely and maintain appropriate access controls.
- Improve appointment booking, confirmation and customer communication processes.
- Develop efficient workflows for scheduling, engineer allocation and job management.
- Improve engineer work orders, mobile forms, risk assessments and quality-control submissions.
- Support stock control, equipment allocation and reconciliation.
- Maintain and improve payment-processing functions.
- Create operational dashboards and management reports.
- Identify repetitive manual tasks that can be safely automated.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure systems and integrations meet data-protection and information-security requirements.
