Job Type: Permanent, Fulltime

Contracted: 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 per rota, 6pm - 1am

Salary: £13.45 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Full time Cleaning Operative (General Service Operative) for Blyth Bus Depots for Arriva, and we are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and have ambition to grow.

The Role

As a Cleaning Operative (GSO), you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include the overall cleanliness of your work site/location:

  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of your assigned area (this could be a bus, or facility cleaning).
  • Removal of waste, litter, graffiti, general/specific cleaning tasks to ensure this standard in accordance with job cards (if applicable), supervisor’s and management instructions and operating under Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
  • Able to recognize and meet required level of hygiene/cleanliness.
  • Deliver high standards of cleanliness and service to all aspects of the business.
  • Maintain professional attitude at all times to clients, coworkers and the general public.

Essential Requirements

  • Delivering timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
  • Willingness and ability to work unsocial hours in line with the late shift.
