The Role:
As a GSO Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carry out cleaning of buses and depot facilities, including waste removal, graffiti removal, and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Move and manoeuvre buses safely within the depot, following parking plans and allocator instructions.
- Carry out fuelling duties, including refuelling vehicles and reporting any faults or damage.
- Allocate buses to their correct routes and ensure vehicles are fit for service.
- Conduct visual checks for damage and report any issues promptly.
- Use reporting tools (digital or paper) as trained.
- Work under supervision or independently, maintaining professionalism and a strong team spirit.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site instructions at all times.
- The role will also include additional site duties in line with the General Service Operative (GSO) role.
Essential Requirements:
- Delivering timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites
- Willingness and ability to work unsocial hours in line with the late shift
- Full UK car (B category) driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years
