We are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading provider of products for the agricultural industry to find an experienced and proactive Account Manager to support their growing customer base in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, including farmers, agronomists, and agricultural suppliers. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing ongoing support for bio-stimulant products. Regularly meet with clients on-site to monitor soil and crop performance, discuss product usage, and identify additional needs for bio-stimulants.
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the agricultural market to expand Soil Fertility Services customer base and increase market share. Promote the benefits of bio-stimulants and sustainable soil fertility practices, guiding clients to optimal solutions for soil health and crop production. Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, while achieving sales targets and contributing to business growth.
  • Product Knowledge and Consultation: Leverage FACTs qualifications to provide expert, evidence-based advice on soil fertility and bio-stimulant products to clients. Help clients incorporate bio-stimulants into their crop management systems, ensuring the optimal application for maximum effectiveness. Stay updated on the latest research, product innovations, and trends in bio-stimulants and agricultural practices.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting: Conduct market research to understand trends in the agricultural industry, competitor activities, and client feedback, providing insights for strategy development. Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, customer interactions, market conditions, and new business opportunities to management.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of solutions. Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective campaigns and educational resources tailored to the agricultural market.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: FACTs qualification (Fertiliser Advisers Certification and Training Scheme) is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in agricultural sales, account management, or agronomy. Knowledge and experience with bio-stimulants and soil fertility solutions are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of agricultural practices, soil science, and crop management, especially in relation to bio-stimulants. Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide tailored, technical solutions to clients. Self-driven with the ability to meet sales targets and work independently. Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools to track sales and customer interactions.
