About The Job
The Global Retail team is hiring an Account Executive to assist customers and prospects in shaping their strategies and modernising their retail solutions. The role involves understanding business challenges, presenting SAS solutions, and building relationships with key accounts in the retail market. The focus will be on driving growth in this sector by leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones. This position offers a chance for an experienced sales professional to drive key retail accounts across Northern Europe and Iberia.
Youâll grow alongside a supportive team, learn from industry leaders, and make a lasting impact by turning complex challenges into meaningful solutions. The role will be based out of our office in Marlow or London as well as from home and will require travelling as per business needs. We offer a hybrid approach to work.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for achievement of total software revenue target and management business objectives.
- Engage with targeted customers and prospect accounts to position SAS solutions, managing deals typically between $250K to $2M+.
- Deliver strategies to modernise customer engagement for strategic clients.
- Build and maintain relationships, influencing longâterm strategies and engaging with Câlevel decisionâmakers.
- Provide knowledge in industry, business, and marketing technology to close deals in your assigned territory.
- Support leadâgeneration activities and integrate strategies into account plans, qualifying based on business and technical fit.
- Develop opportunities and create compelling proposals to communicate the value of SAS solutions, collaborating with internal teams.
- Support the closure of complex sales and assist with pricing and licensing negotiations.

Required Qualifications
- Solid experience in selling complex retail software solutions.
- Experience in identifying and solving business challenges within the retail industry.
- Demonstrated experience in account mapping and navigating a complex ecosystem.
- Ability to analyse and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan; ability to communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of SaaS complex solution sales ideally with a focus on data analytics, AI, and Generative AI.
- Fluent in English. An additional European language like Spanish or a Nordic language would be an advantage.
