About The JobAs a Manager, Software Development you will manage a team of software developers in the Decisioning R&D division. The role oversees development of the Intelligent Decisioning application, which is used to build automated, data‐driven decisions in real time. It combines business rules, analytics, and models to deliver the best action possible.
As a Software Development Manager, You Will
Be responsible for day‐to‐day team operations and priorities.
Handle management responsibilities for the team including hiring, training, delegating work assignments, reviewing performance, and giving feedback.
Understand the career objectives of your team members and support them on their journey to achieve them.
Work with product management and customers to understand requirements.
Work with developers to scope and refine planned work then break down stories into more granular tasks for scheduling.
Collaborate with other technical managers to ensure quality and consistency among software components and products.
Manage and prioritize development projects and regularly communicate project status with upper management.
Ensure R&D standards and guidelines are followed per established criteria, including adoption of the appropriate technology and architecture standards.
Drive a continuous improvement culture and push for innovations and process improvements that accelerate team productivity.
Remain apprised of state of the art and emerging technologies and seek out opportunities to leverage them in our products and processes.
Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization\’s secure software development goals.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
8+ years of related programming or testing experience.
Experience in leading projects to deliver high quality, scalable, performant and secure code.
Experience in CI/CD and DevOps using GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience with Agile practices.
Experience in multiple development languages (SAS, Python, Go, Java, Typescript).
Experience and knowledge of the analytics lifecycle.
Experience of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Ability to lead, manage and communicate goals to employees.
Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
Strong decision‐making ability.
Ability to lead projects and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to understand and translate complex technical and business information to internal/external audiences.
Proof of right to work in UK is required to be considered for the role.
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
