Job Purpose
Our Engineering Graduate will begin their journey in a structured development role within the engineering department, transitioning into a permanent position upon successful completion of the program. From the outset, the graduate will be paired with an experienced mentor who will provide ongoing support in developing business acumen, building professional networks, and fostering personal and professional growth. A comprehensive two-year development plan will guide the graduate through their early career, offering a clear path for progression and skill-building.
During the first year, the graduate will rotate through various engineering functions and disciplines, gaining hands-on experience across a range of roles. This rotational structure is designed to provide a broad understanding of the engineering department's contribution to plant operations and process development. Following the onboarding phase, the graduate will begin taking on greater responsibility, managing their own projects within areas such as Industrial Engineering or Process Development.
Main Responsibilities (Year 1-3)
Managing and delivering small to mid-size process improvement projects from inception, delivery, to closure. Using structured problem-solving and project management techniques to support the engineering department in improving key performance indicators. Supporting manufacturing by resolving technical and process issues using innovative solutions. With support: 1) designing new functional manufacturing systems and processes 2) developing tooling, 3) reviewing and enhancing current manufacturing systems and processes.
Education & Experience
Required: Bachelorβs degree, preferably in a relevant field (STEM subject). Required: some work experience β related industry not required. Desirable: Experience in AutoCAD or similar software.
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent computer skills & a good knowledge of Microsoft applications, i.e., Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Highly organised, able to manage and plan multiple tasks and objectives simultaneously. Comfortable working in a result focused environment. High levels of intuition and creativity, confident in asking questions and challenging the status quo. Positive attitude β motivated to learn and develop. Team player who works well in a diverse team.
