About the jobThe R&D Decisioning team is looking for an Associate Software Developer to help us build our industry leading Decisioning portfolio. Our team of full stack developers works with a cutting edge React UI application and Go based microservices. Our technology plays a critical role in the daily operations of our customers, so we invest as much time in the security, performance, and quality of our deliverables as we do in feature development. As an Associate Software Developer, you will: Designs and develops high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes. Actively involves other project stakeholders (e.g. managers, developers, user interface and visual designers, product managers) to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements and is consistent with established R&D standards. Participates in project scoping and scheduling; Ensures quality through functional, unit and performance testing; works closely with testing by providing thorough reviews of the test plan and communicates when updates to the plan should be made to cover code changes related to enhancements, redesigns and/or bug fixes. In collaboration with technical writers, authors appropriate level of design and technical documentation that satisfies both internal and external consumersEnsure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals. Required qualificationsTypically requires some experience in software development/ programming. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field. An interest in technology and coding, and how it can be applied to problem solving (ideally backed up with programming experience).A desire to broaden their skills base and work across multiple disciplines (e.g. development, professional services, analytics)Good interpersonal, documentation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work within a teamProof of Right to work in the UKEquivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
