The Solution Factory team is looking for an Associate Software Developer to design, develop, and debug software of diverse scope for new and existing products in accordance with designated development practices, timelines and quality expectations.
Day to day, our product supports both internal and customer solution development. Solutions that process large quantities of data, identifying fraud waste and abuse and supporting public security. You'll be working on the tooling and products that turn solution designs into operational systems, enhancing capability and optimising data processing.
As an Associate Software Developer, you will:
- Design and develop high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.
- Actively involve other project stakeholders (e.g. managers, developers, user interface and visual designers, product managers) to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements and is consistent with established R&D standards.
- Participate in project scoping and scheduling; track progress of individual tasks and alert stakeholders of issues blocking or preventing completion of tasks.
- Ensure quality through functional, unit and performance testing; work closely with testing by providing thorough reviews of the test plan and communicate when updates to the plan should be made to cover code changes related to enhancements, redesigns and/or bug fixes.
- Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of the code including support for both internal and external consumers.
- In collaboration with technical writers, author appropriate level of design and technical documentation that satisfies both internal and external consumers.
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications:
- Typically requires some experience in software development/programming. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
