SAS Event & Association Management has been delivering professional conference organisation and association management services for over 40 years. The company manages events for public and private sector clients, offering a comprehensive range of live and online event services across the UK, mainland Europe, and internationally. With high standards and a collaborative approach, SAS builds strong, long-term relationships with clients who rely on them for reliable, well-executed events and to manage their membership associations.
The Role:
- You will plan, coordinate, and deliver live conferences and supporting events in the UK and overseas, including managing timelines, budgets, and logistics.
- Responsibilities include liaising with clients and stakeholders, securing/managing venues and suppliers, and overseeing on-site event delivery.
- You will have specific responsibility to lead for us on a 2-day conference taking place in Paris mid-2027.
- You will work closely with other SAS colleagues to ensure events meet client objectives, run smoothly, and uphold our high standards of service.
- Full-time position based in Salisbury office 3 days a week and 2 days a week working from home. This is not a role that can be undertaken remotely because of the hugely collaborative nature of our work.
- Initially this is a maternity cover role for 12 months but there will be opportunities to extend service thereafter if you wish to join the team permanently.
- Employed status preferred but we will also consider suitably qualified freelancers.
Skill and Experience Required:
- Event planning and coordination skills, including scheduling, logistics management, and vendor/venue liaison.
- Experience with client and stakeholder relationship management, including clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple events, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Attention to detail and quality control skills for managing budgets, documentation, and on-site execution.
- Competence with digital tools for online events, registrations, and communication (e.g., event platforms, CRM systems, office productivity software).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, both independently and as part of a team based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
- Previous experience in event management, conference organization, or association management is highly beneficial, although other specialities will be considered if relevant transferable skills can be demonstrated.
