We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation legal secretary to join our Stockport team. You’ll work alongside highly skilled colleagues on a broad range of dispute resolution matters, gaining exposure to high-quality work and the chance to build long-term client relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out tasks for clients under the guidance of fee earners, ensuring work is completed accurately, reliably, and in line with the firm’s quality and risk management standards.
- Prepare and manage court documents and bundles, following instructions from fee earners and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries coming into the team, whether by phone or through the firm’s website.
- Manage the production and distribution of non-standard letters, including assembling documents prepared by fee earners or outsourced typing services, adding relevant enclosures, and completing all associated filing.
- Coordinate the administrative side of file management (both paper files and P4W) including opening, closing, storing, and retrieving client files in accordance with firm policies.
About you:
- Previous legal secretarial experience, ideally within a litigation and dispute resolution team.
- Strong typing skills (audio typing around 70+ wpm) with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly organised, efficient, and able to manage workload in a timely manner.
- Confident using case management systems (preferably P4W) including managing and updating workflows.
