This role is a receptionist and administrative support position. You will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and efficient reception service. Alongside reception duties, you will provide essential typing and administrative support to legal colleagues, helping maintain smooth file management and workflow across the team.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing client‑facing responsibilities with structured administrative tasks, and who thrives in a busy professional environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Greet clients, manage incoming calls, handle enquiries, and maintain a tidy, professional reception area.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring all messages are passed on promptly.
  • Coordinate general office operations, including meeting room bookings and handling incoming and outgoing post.
  • Provide administrative support by transcribing dictations, opening and closing files, and ensuring correct archiving procedures are followed.
  • Assist fee earners with daily administrative tasks such as scanning, printing, document preparation, and data entry.

About you:

  • At least 1 years’ experience working as a receptionist/administrator, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Communicates clearly, professionally and confidently with clients, visitors and colleagues.
  • Prioritises tasks effectively and manages a varied reception and administrative workload.
  • Produces accurate, well‑presented documents, including typed dictations.
  • Maintains strong attention to detail across all reception, typing and administrative tasks.
  • Manages multiple responsibilities at once while remaining calm and professional.
  • Delivers a positive, welcoming and professional experience for clients.
  • Works proactively with colleagues and supports smooth day‑to‑day office operations.
