Due to continued growth at our Chester office, we are looking for a motivated corporate solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) to join our expanding corporate team. This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded, and keen to develop their expertise within a supportive and growing environment. You will gain hands‑on exposure to high‑quality corporate work and will work alongside Matthew Canfield, who advises a wide range of businesses on diverse corporate matters. You will also have the support of Paul Tyrer and experienced colleagues within our wider corporate team, providing strong support and clear opportunities for professional development.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high‑quality legal advice across a broad range of corporate matters.
- Draft and negotiate complex sale and purchase agreements and other transactional documents.
- Co-ordinate due diligence and data rooms.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships.
- Support clients on shareholder agreements, joint ventures, investment matters, and corporate structuring.
- Advise on corporate governance and regulatory issues.
- Contribute to business development (BD) through networking, client engagement and attending BD events.
About you:
- Qualified solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) with experience in corporate and commercial law.
- Experience in corporate transactions including share sales and purchases, business and asset sales, reorganisations, buybacks, share schemes and EOTs, gained in a leading city centre or regional practice.
- Confident, proactive, and committed to delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a growing team.
- Able to confidently represent the firm at networking and business development events.
- Highly organised, detail‑focused, and able to manage a varied workload effectively.
