The Role

Joining as a part time Payroll Technician, you will be providing payroll services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries. You will be working under the guidance of the Payroll Manager to assist with the provision of the following services:

  • Managing own workflow to meet associated deadlines
  • Preparing and distributing all aspects of employee payments
  • Maintaining payroll records and calculating taxes
  • Ensuring timely submission of data to HMRC and maintaining compliance with GDPR
  • Administration of pension contributions and ensuring auto-enrolment rules are being adhered to
  • Providing a friendly point of contact to clients for payroll and bookkeeping related queries

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a highly ambitious candidate, someone who thinks outside the box and is willing to go above and beyond the expectations of clients, to help develop profitable long lasting relationships. We require someone with:

  • Determination and drive to continually improve processes and working techniques
  • CIPP and/or AAT qualified
  • Experience using Employment Hero software would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of payroll
  • Work experience within an accountancy practice environment would be preferred
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proactive and willing to take on increased responsibility from the outset
