The Role

Joining as a part-time Payroll Technician, you will be providing payroll services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries. You will be working under the guidance of the Payroll Manager to assist with the provision of the following services:

  • Managing own workflow to meet associated deadlines
  • Preparing and distributing all aspects of employee payments
  • Maintaining payroll records and calculating taxes
  • Ensuring timely submission of data to HMRC and maintaining compliance with GDPR
  • Administration of pension contributions and ensuring auto-enrolment rules are being adhered to
  • Providing a friendly point of contact to clients for payroll and bookkeeping related queries

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a highly ambitious candidate, someone who thinks outside the box and is willing to go above and beyond the expectations of clients, to help develop profitable long-lasting relationships. We require someone with:

  • Determination and drive to continually improve processes and working techniques
  • CIPP and/or AAT qualified
  • Experience using Employment Hero software would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of payroll
  • Work experience within an accountancy practice environment would be preferred
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proactive and willing to take on increased responsibility from the outset
