Fashion Design Internship – Work Closely with Sarvin

Location: Shelley, Huddersfield (Candidates must be able to commute)

Position: Unpaid Internship

Duration: 6 months (1-2 days a week)

About the Role:

This internship is ideal for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of running a small fashion business. You will gain valuable experience in fashion design, production, and business operations while working directly with Sarvin herself.

What You’ll Learn & Do:

  • Assist in the design and development process, from concept to final product
  • Gain insight into fabric selection, pattern making, and garment construction
  • Support with photoshoots, marketing, and branding efforts
  • Learn about business operations, including managing orders and customer relations
  • Help with day-to-day studio tasks and organization

Requirements:

  • Passion for fashion design and business
  • Basic knowledge of sewing will be a bonus
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of work
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction and textiles
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Experience in creating tech packs to send to manufacturers
  • Experienced in CAD development
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity
  • Must be based in Huddersfield or nearby and able to commute to Shelley
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and trends
