Business: SARIA's UK operations have a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated with the food chain. The Group's companies manufacture quality products for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial applications. The company also produces biofuels and renewable energy and provides services for farming and the food industry. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 19 sites across the country

The Position

Applications are invited for a suitably qualified HGV Mechanic at our Hartshill Site. This is a full-time permanent position, working an average of 40 hours per week.

As an HGV Mechanic your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Transport requirements but will include:

  • To inspect, report, repair and service trailers, vehicles, and factory transport.
  • To inspect and conduct pre-MOT checks to DVSA/VOSA standards.
  • General garage housekeeping.
  • To complete paperwork in relation to the above tasks.
  • Any other ad hoc duties, as required.

The Person

  • Full UK Driving Licence – HGV Class C+E licence is advantageous but not essential.
  • Hold an Industry recognised qualification, either City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
  • You should have HGV mechanical experience.
  • Good knowledge of H&S practices.
  • Excellent mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
