The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 19 sites across the country.
The Position: Applications are invited for a Business Sales Apprentice based at our ReFood, Doncaster site. This is a full time, permanent position working 40 hours per week.
As a Business Sales Apprentice, your duties and responsibilities will be varied in support of the existing team and will include developing skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- Support the Wet Petfood Team across Sales and Exports activities.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports to support departmental decision-making.
- Contribute to customer service activities, ensuring a high standard of communication and support.
- Participate in financial processes, including budgeting and cost tracking.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support team objectives and projects.
- Be willing to engage in training and development in business administration, as required.
- Provide general administrative/office support to the department including data entry, filing, scanning, post duties etc.
- Develop IT proficiency using tools such as Excel and ERP systems.
- Complete other ad hoc tasks / reasonable requests as and when requested by management.
The Person: Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good numeracy and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, taking initiative to contribute to team goals.
- The ability to speak French would be an advantage.
You will be required to undertake additional company training in other disciplines to further develop and complement a full skill set needed for the role. We will support you as part of a structured Apprenticeship programme where you will attain a Level 3 Business Administration qualification on a day release basis.
Salary: Apprentice rates depending on age.
