Sartre Group are partnered with a leading global hedge fund to hire exceptional Senior C++ Developers into a newly expanding execution group in London.
This team sits at the heart of the firm's trading: high-volume, latency-sensitive and business-critical. With the platform now extending into new asset classes, this is a rare greenfield build. You'll work hands-on with Quant Research, Trading and Infrastructure, with real ownership over design decisions from day one.
You'll work on:
- Designing and building low-latency execution and trading infrastructure from the ground up as the platform expands into new asset classes.
- Writing high-performance, production-grade C++ for systems that execute trades across the firm's investment business.
- Shaping architecture and technical direction within a small, senior engineering team.
- Partnering with Quant Researchers and Traders to deliver tooling that supports both trade monetisation and alpha generation.
They're looking for:
- 10+ years' hands-on experience in modern C++, with a strong track record of building performance-critical systems.
- Experience in an HFT environment, sell-side or buy-side front-office engineering role.
- Exposure to equities, credit or futures, with a solid understanding of execution and the trade lifecycle.
- A builder's mindset, and the desire to stay deeply hands-on rather than move into management.
