Join our Liquid Handling department as a Field Service Technician. Do you have experience working with laboratory equipment? or Do you have experience servicing and repairing equipment in another industry? Are you looking to take next step in your career and use your experience in a field service role supporting customers?

We are looking for a Field Service Technician for our Liquid Handling department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and calibrating single and multichannel pipettes on customer sites in South London and surrounding counties, including Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, whilst delivering excellent customer service. On occasions you will be working in our in-house workshop at our Epsom site.

The team consists of 11 Engineers, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.

This position is available full time. You will be working in the field and ideally living near South London or surrounding counties.

Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis you will be responsible for providing service and customer support during field and in house visits
  • You will manage all on site maintenance, test tasks and troubleshooting for pipettes, diagnose errors or technical problems and determine reasonable solutions
  • You will produce timely and detailed service reports, issue certificate of analysis for equipment in a timely manner
  • Follow company’s procedures and policies as well as UKAS, ISO, GMP standards on customer sites
  • You will work closely with technical team and share information across the organization
  • You will build relationships with customers to improve satisfaction and maximize retention while providing excellent customer service

What Will Convince Us

  • You may have experience with laboratory equipment i.e. Pipettes, liquid handling, or other equipment; training will be provided
  • Field service experience in pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards or UKAS accredited laboratory; candidates from other industries will also be considered
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test and service technical equipment
  • Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
  • Ability to work flexibly and efficiently and to adapt quickly to changing work schedules
  • Willingness to travel with some overnight stays
  • Strong customer service skills and great communication skills
  • Full driving licence
