We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Lab Instruments team.
In this role, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, testing and calibration of balances, centrifuges, pure water systems and other associated laboratory equipment at customer sites in Gloucestershire while delivering excellent customer service.
This is a full‑time position working in the field and ideally you are based in Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire or Herefordshire.
Responsibilities
- Provide service and customer support during field and in‑house visits.
- Manage all on‑site installation, maintenance and test tasks.
- Diagnose errors and technical problems and identify effective solutions.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports and issue certificates of analysis.
- Follow company procedures and policies as well as UKAS, ISO, GMP standards on customer sites.
- Work closely with the technical team and share information across the organisation.
- Build relationships with customers to improve satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- Experience with balances, water systems and centrifuges (beneficial but extensive training will be provided).
- Field service experience in the pharmaceutical, biological or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards.
- Ability to test, troubleshoot and service technical equipment.
- Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
- Flexibility, efficiency and ability to adapt quickly to changing work schedules.
- Willingness to travel with some overnight stays and holding a full driving licence.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
