Join our Production team in Nottingham as a Process Biotechnologist. Do you have production or manufacturing experience with a good knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques? If so, this is a great opportunity for a Process Biotechnologist to join a close-knit production team producing biopharmaceutical products adhering to GMP guidelines following SOPs whilst using state-of-the-art equipment. The site is expanding, so it's a great time to join the team to further your career. The team consists of 6 professionals and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
This position is full-time based at our site in Nottingham just a short walk from the city centre train station and tram stop. The role requires working a 12.5 hour day with a well-balanced shift pattern to cover a 24-hour production schedule (day shift 7am - 7.30pm, night shift 7pm - 7.30am). You will be working 2 or 3 consecutive days with days off in between; on occasions, you will have 6 days off at one time. Further information will be provided upon application.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate manufacturing equipment to carry out the cGMP production of Biopharmaceuticals
- Production processing; incorporating Fermentation, Cell Separation, Chromatography, Final Ultrafiltration, and In-process Sampling and Analysis
- Preparation and Operation of all Equipment following SOPs and PCDs
- Calibration of instruments and plant maintenance tasks as required during processing or during maintenance shutdown periods
- Complete all documentation required to GDP
- Assist in closure of operations related IODs, CRs, and CAPA
- Filter control and integrity testing
- Use of the production autoclave
- Manual handling and physically demanding activities at times (i.e. lifting 25kg bags of salts, sugar, and more)
