Join our Operations team in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire as a Continuous Improvement Engineer. We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Operations Department. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and driving strategy for the site whilst liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The role will be reporting to the Head of Site and working closely with colleagues locally and globally. This position is available full-time and based on site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. We are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.10 – 16.10 or 7.55 – 16.55, Friday 7.10 – 12.10, 7.55 – 12.55.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
- Define continuous improvement and savings opportunities and coordinate the implementation plan
- Align local and global Continuous improvement strategies
- Define, coordinate and lead continuous improvement training
- Challenge and support existing processes and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to ensure effective and robust processes, report on progress of projects
- Identify and prioritize Lean projects within the business – investigate these projects, presenting solutions and delivering results
- Define, develop and publish business improvement process documentation
- Undertake business process analysis, statistical analysis for improvement projects and to support wider change
- Leading site process improvements where necessary
- Engage with all departments to develop strong relationships to ensure optimal performance
- Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplace by observing company’s procedures and corresponding regulations
- Stay current and up to date on technology changes that may affect Lean
What will convince us
- Apprenticeship with HNC, HND or degree in Engineering or Science related discipline or relevant industry experience
- Experience in leading continuous improvement projects in a regulated manufacturing/production environment, ideally pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry though candidates from other industries would also be considered i.e.: automotive, oil and gas etc.
- Ability to identify, break down and solve technical problems
- Strong aptitude for hands on approach to problem solving in an engineering environment
- Disciplined and well – organized in documentation (plans, requirements, drawings, design reviews, and test methods)
- Experience working with ISO requirements and other relevant guidelines and regulations
- Knowledge of statistical methods and analysis
- Team player with good communication skills
