Your Responsibilities:

  • On a daily basis you will perform basic maintenance and repairs across production, laboratory, office areas as well as landscaping.
  • Carrying out regular compliance checks on legionella water flushing and associated documentation (L8 compliance), weekly and monthly inspections (e.g., fire extinguishers, meter readings, pre-audit walkarounds, emergency exits), inspections related to LOLER and pressure systems regulations.
  • Managing contractor activities such as contractor inductions and routine safety audits, reviewing contractor RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) to ensure safe systems of work are in place before activities commence.
  • Liaising with service providers for maintenance and facility support (CCTV, fire and security systems, pest control, access control etc.).
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards across the facility, including routine checks of common areas and external grounds.
  • Assisting with health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Managing site waste process, including metal and electrical waste coordination.
  • Supporting the ordering and fitting of equipment labels, tags and other facility signage.
  • Ensuring all activities are documented accurately to support regulatory, insurance and audit compliance.
  • Taking part in internal facility management improvement projects.
  • Working cross-functionally with various departments and building strong relationships with team members.
