We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Lab Instruments team at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, testing and calibration of balances, centrifuges, pure water systems and other associated laboratory equipment at customer sites in Gloucestershire whilst delivering excellent customer service.
The team consists of 13 Engineers and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you. This is a full time position working in the field and ideally living in Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire or Herefordshire.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities- On a daily basis you will be responsible for providing service and customer support during field and in house visits.
- You will manage all on site installation, maintenance and test tasks.
- The ability to diagnose errors or technical problems and identify effective solutions.
- You will produce timely and detailed service reports and issue certificates of analysis for equipment.
- Follow company procedures and policies as well as UKAS, ISO, GMP standards on customer sites.
- You will work closely with the technical team and share information across the organisation.
Do you enjoy building relationships with customers? You will improve customer satisfaction, help maximise customer retention whilst providing excellent customer service.
What will convince us- You may have experience with balances and metrology, water systems and centrifuges would be beneficial but extensive training will be given.
- Field service experience working in the pharmaceutical, biological or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards or UKAS accredited laboratory in a similar role would be desirable though candidates from other industries will also be considered.
- Ability to test, troubleshoot and service technical equipment.
- Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
- Ability to work flexibly and efficiently and to adapt quickly to changing work schedules.
- Willingness to travel with some overnight stays, holding a full driving licence.
- You will have strong customer service and communication skills.
