Sarto Thomas are delighted to be supporting a Local Authority in Essex with the appointment of an experienced Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A to 2D) on an initial contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive Building Control team, working across a varied caseload while helping to deliver a high quality service to residents and developers.
The Role
- Examining Building Regulation applications and assessing compliance with relevant legislation
- Carrying out site inspections and providing technical advice to ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with the Building Regulations
- Managing a range of projects and maintaining accurate records
- Investigating complaints and assisting with enforcement activities where required
- Providing guidance to customers, developers and other stakeholders
- Supporting the Building Control Manager in delivering an efficient and customer focused service
- Working to Building Control Performance Standards and statutory timescales
Requirements
- Registration with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2A, 2B, 2C or 2D
