Senior/Principal Transport Engineer | Leicester

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Principal Transport Engineer. This role offers the chance to build and lead your own team, making it an excellent next step for a driven professional looking to progress their career.

Key responsibilities

• Managing multiple transport planning projects from inception to delivery
• Producing high-quality Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and supporting documentation
• Undertaking complex junction analysis and providing clear, practical recommendations
• Maintaining strong client relationships and representing the business at meetings
• Liaising with local highway authorities, planners, architects and project teams
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members as the team grows

About You

You will ideally have:

• BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in transport planning or highways
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE, CIHT or TPP)
• Strong knowledge of national and local transport policy and guidance
• Experience using relevant transport and traffic modelling software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative mindset with proven or emerging leadership ability
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
