We\’re seeking an experienced Architect to join a well-established practice based in Poole. This is a permanent opportunity offering the chance to take ownership of projects, manage client relationships, and play a key role in business growth.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing projects through all RIBA stages (0–7), maintaining close contact with end-user clients, contractors, and consultants. Alongside project delivery, you’ll also support the Director in driving business development, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept to completion, including design, technical delivery, and coordination.
- Prepare and submit drawings, technical specifications, and planning/building control applications.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and CDM 2015.
- Mentor and manage Assistants and Technicians.
- Support business development through networking, client relationship management, and fee proposals.
- Monitor project costs, programmes, and resource allocation.
- Assist with health and safety, quality assurance, and CAD standards within the practice.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ post-Part 3 experience.
- Strong design and technical ability, with excellent self and peer-checking skills.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and NBS.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, Building Regulations, and CDM Regulations.
- Experience of running projects and managing client relationships.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to contribute to business development.
