We have both full-time and flexible zero-hours opportunities for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You'll play a key role in keeping the hotel safe, functional, and well-presented, carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks and responding to reactive repairs across the property. This is a great opportunity for someone with a practical skill set who wants to work in a busy hotel environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out day-to-day reactive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks and logging work on our system
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests raised by housekeeping, reception, and management
- Carrying out basic plumbing, electrical, joinery, and decorating tasks
- Identifying and reporting any issues that require specialist contractor involvement
- Ensuring the property meets all health & safety and compliance requirements
- Supporting the H&S Manager with inspections and remedial works
What we're looking for:
- A solid background in building maintenance, facilities, or a relevant trade
- Practical skills across multiple areas — plumbing, electrics, painting, joinery (multi-skilled preferred)
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Good communication with department heads and management
- Health & safety awareness
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
