We're looking for an experienced and organised Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team on a full‑time basis. You'll be responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision of room attendants and public area staff, ensuring that rooms and communal spaces consistently meet brand and quality standards. This is a leadership role that requires confidence, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and directing the housekeeping team on shift, including room attendants and public area cleaners.
- Allocating and checking daily room assignments, ensuring deadlines are met and standards upheld.
- Inspecting serviced bedrooms and public areas to confirm they meet required cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Supporting onboarding, training, and ongoing development of housekeeping team members.
- Managing linen and amenity stock levels, ordering supplies as required.
- Liaising with the front desk and maintenance teams to coordinate room readiness and fault reporting.
- Handling guest feedback relating to housekeeping and addressing issues swiftly.
- Assisting with COSHH compliance, safe chemical handling, and housekeeping health & safety documentation.
- Supporting the Head Housekeeper or Rooms Division Manager with scheduling and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a hotel housekeeping supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of room cleaning standards, inspection processes, and linen management.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold a team to account.
- Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe chemical handling.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using hotel operations systems.
- Flexibility to work across a 5‑day week including weekends and bank holidays.
