We’re looking for a well organised Linen Porter to come and join our fast-paced housekeeping team. The Housekeeping team is key to our business in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable stay with us. As a Linen Porter you will be part of this team and helping to provide our guests with a high standard of accommodation, comfort and maximum guest satisfaction, helping to ensure our guests want to return to stay with us.

As a Linen Porter you will have:

  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy linen bags
  • Flexibility with working days to adapt to the needs of a 7 day business
  • Self-motivation & ability to work on your own but also be a good team member
  • Good spoken communication skills and numeracy to complete linen stock checks
  • Good presentation and hygiene standards
  • Previous experience in a similar role in hotels, hospitals or other accommodation facility.

What will I be doing as a Linen Porter?

  • Taking in delivery of clean linen from external Laundry
  • Ensuring that departments have the correct amount of clean linen in order to carry out their work.
  • Ensuring that all soiled linen is sorted and counted out by item, bagged with labels attached identifying our hotel name, before being sent out to external Laundry.
  • Assisting with the movement of guest luggage, furniture and deliveries.
  • Assisting the Room Attendants in taking down and re-hanging curtains, shower curtains and nets
  • Learning and building your knowledge on all the hotel's products and services
