Opened in 1688 as a coaching inn, the picturesque hotel combines warm British hospitality with modern comforts. Located in the countryside. The Bull is easily accessible by train or car. We're looking for an organised individual to come and join our fast-paced housekeeping team in a dual purpose role of Linen Porter and Room Attendant. This is a Full Time permanent position and Live in is available if required. The Housekeeping team is key to our business in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable stay with us. As a part of this team you will be helping to provide our guests with a high standard of accommodation, comfort and maximum guest satisfaction, helping to ensure our guests want to return to stay with us., What will I be doing as a Linen Porter/Room Attendant?

• Taking in delivery of clean linen from external Laundry
• Ensuring that departments have the correct amount of clean linen in order to carry out their work.
• Ensuring that all soiled linen is sorted and counted out by item, bagged with labels attached identifying our hotel name, before being sent out to external Laundry.
• Assisting with the laundering of staff uniforms & control of dry cleaning
• Assisting with the movement of furniture, or any deliveries.
• Assisting the Room Attendants in taking down and re-hanging curtains, shower curtains and nets
• Learning and building your knowledge on all the hotel's products and services
• Cleaning 14 bedrooms a day on a full shift, Stay overs and departures
• In line with the requirements of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy linen bags and move heavy furniture
• Flexibility with working days to adapt to the needs of a 7 day business
• Self-motivation & ability to work on your own but also be a good team member
• Good spoken communication skills and numeracy to complete linen stock checks
• Good presentation and hygiene standards
• Previous experience in a similar role in hotels, hospitals or other accommodation facility.
