We are looking for a Chef to join our brigade of chefs primarily working on Breakfast and supporting our existing Breakfast Chef and covering their days/time off as well as supporting the other Chefs over Lunchtime. This is a Full time contract 40 hours per week Our Kitchen is at the heart of our Food & Beverage department providing food for our guests in our Restaurant, Lounge Bar and Meetings & Events department. This is an excellent opportunity to join our chefs supporting breakfast and Lunch. - Ensuring adequate mis-en-place prepared for breakfast service each day
- Taking responsibility for the production of all buffet and a la carte breakfast items, hot and cold.
- Maintaining standards of service, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction by ensuring quality /quantity of food on the restaurant buffet is monitored and replenished as required.
- Preparing staff food, ensuring quality and quantity provided as required
- Maintaining a high standard of kitchen cleanliness and ensuring all hygiene and health and safety practices are followed.
- Ensuring that temperature checks are carried out in line with the Food Safety Regulations
- In line with the requirements of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
- Previous experience as a breakfast chef preparing Buffet and a la carte breakfast service, ideally for 150 plus covers per day
- NVQ level 2 qualification or similar in food production
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Knowledge and understanding of all applicable Health & Safety legislation
- Self-motivation with the desire & ability to deliver quality food consistently in time frame
- Flexibility to work 5 days from 7 on rota including weekends, starting as early as 6am
