Shift Electrician Days
Location: SARIA UK, Nottingham, England, United Kingdom
Position: Shift Electrician at SARVAL Nottingham site. 24‑hour operation, 365 days per year, full‑time permanent, 4 on 4 off 12‑hour day shifts. On‑call support required.
Responsibilities
- Work under Health & Safety guidelines.
- Report initially to Engineering Team Leader.
- Liaise with Shift Team Leader to ensure efficient running of factory and associated processes.
- Understand all factory operations, including steam raising plant, odour control and effluent treatment plant.
- Monitor all electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Carry out breakdown repairs to factory equipment in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance to other shift members as requested by Shift Team Leader or Site Management.
- Perform site electrical installations and upgrade work as designated by the Electrical Team Leader.
- Carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.
- Be on call for a proportion of the time.
Qualifications
- Completed recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship.
- Extensive electrical experience in a continuous process environment.
- Experience handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
- Proven experience with fault finding.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
- Familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
- Conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Experience of plant operations.
- Able to work using own initiative.
- Self‑motivated and able to work on own or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels.
