The Group’s companies manufacture quality products for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial applications. The company also produces biofuels and renewable energy and provides services for farming and the food industry.
The Position: Applications are invited for a Service Delivery Driver – Class C based at our Hartshill site, working 48 hours per week and in line with the EU Drivers Hours rules and the Working Time Directive (WTD). Please be aware that you will be required to be flexible in regard to start and finish times due to business requirements, with the shifts being based around days and afternoons, as required. This role will initially be based on the late shift.
Responsibilities:
- Empty or exchange 240 litre or 400 litre wheelie bins from clients’ premises, containing food, catering or butchery waste.
- Manual handling.
- Tip collected materials into designated areas.
- Complete all the required documentation.
- Ensure the vehicle is well maintained and clean and undertake the required vehicle checks.
- Act as an ambassador on behalf of Sarval, ensuring that the client is treated courteously and respectfully.
- Use an electronic PDA in accordance with internal system requirements.
Qualifications:
- Hold a full, clean HGV Class C driving licence.
- Multi‑Drop experience in a single‑crew environment is a distinct advantage.
- Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner.
- Represent the company positively when visiting sites and communicating with customers.
- Demonstrate understanding of EU Rules and WTD.
- Undertake a Disclosure and Barring check, as required.
- Hold the Driver CPC.
- Hold a Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Successful completion of a DBS check is mandatory and a condition of any offer of employment.
