Join our IT Infrastructure team as an Infrastructure Engineer and play a key role in maintaining, improving and securing a modern business-critical technology environment. Reporting to the Head of IT, this is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional with strong Microsoft expertise and a passion for delivering reliable, secure and high-performing systems. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, networking and infrastructure security, who enjoys solving problems, driving improvements and supporting a resilient IT estate.

Key experience we are looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy and core Microsoft services.
  • Proven Microsoft 365 administration experience, including tenant setup, SharePoint, OneDrive and security management.
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies such as Entra ID, Intune, Defender, endpoint security and access controls.
  • Solid networking knowledge, including firewall configuration, switch management, VPNs, TCP/IP and VLANs.
  • Experience monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain PowerShell scripts and deliver clear technical documentation.
  • Relevant Microsoft qualifications, ideally equivalent to M365, MCSA or higher.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing and maintaining the company’s infrastructure, including servers, networks, security controls and endpoint technology.
  • Supporting and developing Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Remote Desktop Services and core business systems.
  • Helping to strengthen network resilience through patching, monitoring, vulnerability management, disaster recovery testing and security best practice.
  • Working closely with the Head of IT, Information Security and wider stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable IT services.
  • Driving continuous improvement across infrastructure performance, security and documentation.

Desirable experience:

  • CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
  • Linux server administration, AWS or other cloud environments, container technologies, SAN storage or database platforms.
  • Experience working with virtualised environments, Dell server hardware or enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
