About the Company
Sargent is an employee-owned earthwork construction company that traces our beginning to 1926 in Alton, Maine. Today, our nearly 400 employees work in seven states, specializing in commercial, industrial and institutional site preparation, landfill construction, utility projects, airports, athletic facilities and wind power access.

Essential Job Functions
- Assist Quarry Foreman and craftspeople in the performance of their duties.
- Hand shoveling, greasing and general labor work around quarry.
- Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
- Operate various tools, water truck and small equipment.
- Report to Plant Manager or other supervisor observed or known OSHA/safety violations.
- Clean tools, equipment, materials and work areas.
- Operate water truck within the confines of the yard for dust suppression.
- General labor work around quarry – painting, mechanic work, etc. with proper training.
- All other tasks assigned by Quarry Foreman.
