Safe – Skilled – Independent. As a Mobile Crane Operator based in Grangemouth and Glasgow (UK), you take ownership of complex lifting activities across our projects. You work independently with telescopic mobile cranes, preparing, executing and completing lifts safely and precisely. From planning and inspections to operation and maintenance, you play a key role in delivering reliable heavy lifting solutions. Safety, professionalism and technical pride guide everything you do.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely execute lifting activities using telescopic mobile cranes in line with lift plans and manufacturer instructions.
  • Assemble and disassemble telescopic cranes in different configurations.
  • Check and apply all required documentation, including planning instructions, certificates, lifting plans and load charts.
  • Study transport routes and worksites to ensure accessibility and absence of obstacles.
  • Check local weather conditions before starting operations.
  • Load and unload crane components where required.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment such as tele-handlers.
  • Keep cranes and equipment clean, fuelled and in good operational condition.
  • Inspect cranes and equipment for damage before, during and after operations.
  • Carry out daily checks, first-line and preventive maintenance.
  • Report damage, irregularities and potential additional work.
  • Complete maintenance checklists and work record sheets accurately and on time.
  • Work in compliance with Sarens standards, company and client policies, reporting to the Operations Manager.

About You / Qualifications:

  • Required: CPCS qualification for Mobile Cranes.
  • Required: 3–5 years’ experience operating mobile telescopic cranes.
  • Required: Valid UK driving licence.
  • Required: Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Strong understanding of lift planning, load charts and site safety.
  • Reliable, responsible and team-oriented mindset.
